South Africa’s largest independent management and technology consulting firm, IQbusiness, is proud to announce that it has achieved the highest Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) contributor score of Level 1. With this achievement, IQbusiness hopes to meaningfully deepen the company’s transformational role in South Africa, while being recognised for its profound commitment to growing businesses and people in our country.

IQbusiness is now able to provide its current client base, and future prospective clients, with a 135% procurement recognition, up from 110% last year. In testament to the company’s commitment to meaningful transformation in South Africa, CEO of IQbusiness, Adam Craker, says “Transformation plays a pivotal part of our growth strategy in South Africa. Our shareholders, board and the IQbusiness management team are extremely proud of this achievement.”

“The level 1 certification of IQbusiness attests to the collective effort of all shareholders and stakeholders, who enthusiastically embrace the outcomes of a B-BBEE strategy” added Israel Noko, CEO at NPI Governance Consulting, the agency that conducted the robust review and certification.

The commitment of IQbusiness to transformation and inclusion in South Africa is further complemented by its approach to developing opportunities for the learning and training of young talent. IQbusiness is one of the founding contributing members of the YES4YOUTH initiative (www.yes4youth.co.za) with the aim of improving and addressing the youth unemployment rate in our country. IQbusiness is proud to have one of the highest absorption rates from their internship programme into formal employment in the country.

Additionally, the Graduate Recruitment Programme at IQbusiness creates approximately 60 new entry level jobs every year for a range of graduates with diverse backgrounds. Many of these positions are later converted to full-time jobs on successful completion of the programme.

IQbusiness has also established a Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) incubator, which is aimed at transferring critical skills to build capacity, coupled with physical office space to SMEs, in order to help alleviate the high cost of growing a business in our country.

“Our approach to transformation is founded on the notion of creating broad-based benefits for the society in which we work. We are also a sustainable procurement ambassador of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP), which means that we’re committed to more sustainable sourcing and buying practices, and considering the impact our organisational decisions have on employees, customers, suppliers, the community and the environment” added Craker.

IQbusiness remains determined and driven to work with businesses that ensure inclusive economic growth, increased employment and shared prosperity, especially for the most vulnerable citizens in our country.
